CIAME 2026: Driving Innovation Through Standardization and Enhancing Value Through Experience
Date:
Editor’s Note:
The 2026 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (CIAME 2026) will be held from October 26–28, 2026, at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) for the first time. With upgraded standards, improved exhibition planning, and a broader international vision, the exhibition will open a new chapter for Asia’s leading agricultural machinery event.
As a key platform reflecting industry development and technological innovation, CIAME 2026 will focus on the theme of “Leading · Safeguarding · Intelligence · Green”, showcasing the latest achievements and development trends across the agricultural machinery industry chain.
To provide a comprehensive view of the exhibition’s preparation and innovative arrangements, Agricultural Machinery Market magazine launched a special interview series focusing on exhibition management, exhibition planning, visitor organization, forums and events, international development, and city-exhibition integration.
The article features an interview with Xu Peng, Deputy Secretary-General of China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA) and Project Leader of CIAME 2026, who provides insights into the exhibition’s new preparation strategy, standardized operation, and industry empowerment goals.
More Than 3,000 Exhibitors: Building a New International Agricultural Machinery Platform
At 10:00 a.m. on April 26, 2026, exhibitor registration for CIAME 2026 officially opened. More than 700 enterprises completed registration on the first day. By April 30, the number exceeded 1,800, and by May 15, applications reached 3,035 enterprises, setting a new record.
These achievements represent only the beginning. With preparation work accelerating, a larger-scale, higher-quality, more influential and more commercially active international agricultural machinery exhibition is gradually taking shape.

Three Keywords Behind the Upgrade: Standardization, Stability and Development
On March 27, China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association officially announced Tianjin as the host city for CIAME 2026.
The organizer proposed implementing “standardized and efficient” exhibition management, strengthening domestic and international promotion, optimizing exhibition content and activities, organizing professional visitors more precisely, and promoting deeper integration between the exhibition and the city.
“After more than 60 years of development, CIAME has become Asia’s leading and internationally recognized agricultural machinery exhibition. Facing new challenges, self-innovation and high-quality development are essential,” said Xu Peng.
The six key principles of CIAME 2026 — standardization, stability, and development among them — will guide the exhibition’s future development.
A New Management Model: Professional Operation Through Project-Based Organization
The selection of Tianjin as the host city for CIAME 2026 followed strict procedures based on CAMDA’s exhibition management system and internal evaluation requirements.
The establishment of the CIAME 2026 Project Team, including eight specialized working groups covering exhibition operations, conferences and events, visitor organization, reception, international affairs, media, technical support, and logistics services, marks the first time the exhibition has adopted a project-based management model.
Through clearer responsibilities and more efficient coordination, the organizer aims to achieve a more transparent, professional, and efficient exhibition operation system.

Detail-Oriented Innovation: From “Exhibiting” to “Experiencing”
The goal of standardized management is to improve efficiency, transparency, and visitor experience.
For CIAME 2026, improvements will focus on three key areas:
- More standardized booth allocation;
- More stable onsite operation;
- More professional visitor services.
With an indoor exhibition area of nearly 300,000 square meters, the venue provides upgraded facilities, including high-capacity hanging systems and modern exhibition infrastructure, creating better conditions for exhibitors.

Building a Global Agricultural Machinery Exchange Platform
CIAME 2026 will further enhance visitor organization by inviting professional groups, improving visitor flow management, and introducing more visitor-friendly services.
Through advance registration, preferential services, guided activities, free shuttle services, public discussion areas, and improved catering and traffic arrangements, the exhibition will provide a more comfortable and efficient experience.
With Tianjin’s advantages as an international port city and transportation hub, CIAME 2026 will strengthen global connectivity and provide greater convenience for international exhibitors and buyers.
“Leading · Safeguarding · Intelligence · Green”: A New Vision for the Future
The theme of CIAME 2026 — “Leading · Safeguarding · Intelligence · Green” — reflects the future direction of agricultural machinery development.
“Leading” represents technological innovation and industry advancement.
The exhibition will showcase large-scale, intelligent machinery, harvesting solutions, and integrated agricultural equipment, while promoting global cooperation and technology exchange.
“Safeguarding” highlights the role of agricultural machinery in supporting food security and sustainable agricultural development.
“Intelligence” focuses on smart agriculture, including artificial intelligence, intelligent sensing, big data analysis, autonomous equipment, and smart farming solutions.
“Green” represents low-carbon transformation and sustainable agricultural practices, including new energy agricultural machinery, precision farming equipment, and resource recycling technologies.
Together, these four concepts form the core value proposition of CIAME 2026, bringing together global agricultural innovation and industry resources to promote transformation and upgrading.
